Implementation Evaluation Control

The definition of implementation evaluation control basically are marketing plans, turned into marketing actions(57), states the digital textbook. HellDorado Vodka's marketing plans will turn into action, first by getting the product out there, letting all the party people that there is a drink out there for them. This will be by advertising in pictures in buses like the ones that make tour for tourist like the ones at the strip, letting them know that it is now being served in their favorite nightclub, or bar. Also advertising in television with sexy, and dangerous commercials, and an attractive radio commercials too. We want to let our people know that this product is especially for them, and the company will try its best to keep them satisfied with the product.

HellDorado Premium Vodka

"Take me to HellDorado"...

Price

According to the digital textbook, "Even small differences in price can signal product differences" (294).
This is why I decided to price my product in $29.00 dollars, and not $30.00 dollars. The digital textbook also states that "psychological difference can be much greater. For example, some consumers will see the $299.99 as a price in the $200 range rather than the $300 range. The $299.99 will more likely be seen as a bargain price, whereas the $300 price suggests more quality" (294). Some other good vodka brands sell their bottles around $40.00 dollars, making HellDorado Vodka about ten dollars cheaper, but that does not mean it lacks in quality, but since the caffeine allows the drinker to keep drinking, they will buy more of the product, and that way the company wins.

Promotion

"Sales promotion objectives vary widely. Sellers may use consumer promotions to urge short-term customer buying or to enhance customer brand involvement"(442). "Objectives for trade promotions include getting retailers to carry new items and more inventory, buy ahead, or promote the company’s products and give them more shelf space" (442). To promote my product, customers will have the option to just buy a single drink at the night club, or they can get the whole bottle; that way the customer spends less money that way instead of every people at a table ordering it one by one in a cup. "Sales promotions are usually used together with advertising, personal selling, direct marketing, or other promotion mix tools" (443). Our goal is to work directly with the nightclub owners, by telling them how much they should charge for the drink, and the whole bottle, and if the customer buys the bottle they will be able to take with them out of the nightclub.

Distribuition

"selective distribution—the use of more than one, but fewer than all, of the intermediaries who are willing to carry a company’s products" (324). The way HellDorado Vodka will be distributed will be selective distribution, but basically any nightclub and selected bars will be able to sell it. HellDorado Vodka will not be an intensive distributer "Stocking the product in as many outlets as possible" (324), the company would not like for every bar to have it mainly because it is probably a bar where not a lot of people attend, and the location of the bar is a factor too, because if it has a good location probably more people will go to have a good time, but if it is kind of in a hidden place, most likely people will go to realase their "pain", or stress, and HellDorado Vodka is not directed towards those kind of people that want feel the alcohol taking over themselves.

Product

The online digital textbook states that "a product mix (or product portfolio) consists of all theproduct lines and items that a particular seller offers for sale"(220). Because this is just a class assignment, there is only one product available: HellDorado Vodka, but if I's have to give it a thought, to make a larger company, and compete with larger companies, I'd come up with fruit flavored bottles, with caffeine too.
HellDorado Vodka is just pure vodka, with caffeine in it, it is strong, but at the same time soothing so it does not burn the person's throat. There is no product mix depth in this "company"."Product mix depth refers to the number of versions offered of each product in the line" (221).

EOC: Week 9: Creative Content

For my final project creative content i want to photoshop a cool persons photo right next to the attractive red bottle of Diablo Vodka. I will probably make a radio comercial too that is attractive and appeals to the whole bad boy, or bad girl persona.

EOC Week 9: Three Great Mission Statements

First of all i would like to say that i actually did look at every classmates's blog and read their buisness mission statement. The first business mission statement that i really liked was the http://thefilmeditor.blogspot.com/search/label/EOC%20Final%20Project one. His mission statement sounded really professional, i even tought his vodka did exist, and maybe even give it a try, especailly his intro it has a nice powerful hook: "There are many different types of vodka for you to choose from, but to sit with drink that grabs hold of your senses and never let’s go is what we specializes in".

The second mission statement that I really liked, and not just the statemente, i liked the whole idea behind it too, it it the Female Fatal Vodka from steffany chirino's blog. It was not her business statement exactly but a past post talking about her product; she could just pull stuff right out of there to make her statement. I really liked when she stated: "a strong woman drinks a strong drink."

Another mission statement that i liked was luis silva's. His has class and i liked the whole seasons thing.

I chose this ones because according to the class book "should be market oriented and defined in terms of satisfying basic customer needs. Products and technologies eventually become outdated, but basic market needs may last forever".

Target Marketing Stragety

"Every market has segments, but not all ways of segmenting a market are equally useful" (50).
The main marketing stragety for my HellDorado Vodka is going to be for people who attend to nightclubs, and get wild, and not feel stupid because of the alcohol; the caffeine included in the vodka allows the drinker to last longer in the party while not being dominated by the effect of regular vodka has. It will be mainly targeted to big party cities like: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, New York City, and many others.
"After a company has defined market segments, it can enter one or many of these segments. Market targeting involves evaluating each market segment’s attractiveness and selecting one or more segments to enter. A company should target segments in which it can profitably generate the greatest customer value and sustain it over time" (50).

Situation or SWOT Analysis

"An overall evaluation of the company’s strengths (S), weaknesses (W), opportunities (O), and threats (T)" (55).

For my Hell Dorado Vodka product, its strenght will be that it will have a strong flavor, but not to raspy, and since it contains caffeine, the consumer will be feeling alrighit, and will consume more of the product.

My Product's weakness would be that, it would only be availlable in night clubs, and selected bars, and it would not be able for consumers, on stores or liquor stores.

The oportuinities it will have is that beign available only in night clubs, our type of people that the products directed to will be in inside the room, and word will pass from nightclub to nightclub, and more nightclubs will want to purchase HellDorado Vodka.

Threats that the company will have is against the media, since it cointains caffeine the media, and health organizations will critize the product because they might state it is dangerous to the health.

The digital textbook states: "The goal is to match the company’s strengths to attractive opportunities in the environment, while eliminating or overcoming the weaknesses and minimizing the threats"(56). I think that my product does overcome its weaknesses and threats.

Objectives

The objectives will be fist of all getting the product out there, letting the party people know that HellDorado Vodka is now serving in their favorite nightclub, and letting them know about our product, and what makes it special, which in this case a strong, but soothing flavor, but gentle to your throat, and that it contains caffeine, so they keep themselves pumped until the next day. The online book says "A specific communication task to be accomplished with a specific target audience during a specific period of time"(386), and this is what i just stated that i would do, letting the party people know that their is a drink made specially for them.

Buisness Mission Statement

"Mission statements should be meaningful and specific yet motivating. They should emphasize the company’s strengths in the marketplace. Too often, mission statements are written for public relations purposes and lack specific, workable guidelines. Says marketing consultant Jack Welch"(40).

HellDorado Premium Vodka, an elegant bottle of 80 proof, 40% alcohol Vodka. Elaborated with refined European grains; it goes through a quadruple destilation process, and a double filtration; making it strong enough, but with out burning your throat, this is achieved by an antique family secret. It is also mixed with a small quantity of pure cafeeine offering you the experience of a Rock Star, wild partier; you will rock n roll all night and party everyday, and never having to be dominated by the effect of alcohol that other drinks provide, or making a fool out of yourself. "Take me to HellDorado".

According to the digital textbook "should be market oriented and defined in terms of satisfying basic customer needs" (40). This business mission statement does satisfy the customer's needs. Those who like to party hard, and all night long, and not being stopped by anyone, even alcohol itself.

EOC Final Project Pitch

After doing plenty of research, on the different types of vodka, and how they are manufactured, and what is so special about certain vodkas. Since I do not drink vodka, it has been kind of hard for me what would be good for my product to have. So here it goes, my plan is to create a premium vodka with caffeine in it directed mainly to the nightclub people. I plan to call it HellDorado Vodka, it takes the whole conept of being in hell because you have been a "bad boy/girl", by parting all night long, and not feeling dominated by the alcohol with other vodkas, because what makes HellDorado Vodka special, is that it contains a small amount of caffeine, that way you can still continue to party hard until the sun rises up again, it keeps you going and going. Made with refined european grains, and has the touch of a family secret so it contains a strong flavor, but does not hurts your throat. This may sound expensive, right? but it will be around $30.00 dollars, since the person is going to consume the product until the next day, that will make the company the money, and keep the customer happy, by maintaining the bottle at a very good price.

Week 6 EOC: Me X 3

I do not usually buy much stuff except for the stuff I really do need. The only times I buy stuff for the pleasure of it, it is because I have some extra cash. The basic stuff I do really need are products like shampoo, deodorant, and other hygiene products, and I always try to buy the ones that I have always been using and liked. For the first product, deodorant; I usually buy the ones that have a fresh scent, I do not like the ones that smell really charged in odor. That is why when I first came familiar with that brand, I did not like it because the ones that I have tried out smelled “funny”, but later on I discovered a fresher one I have been using that one for year now. For skin lotion I always try to buy the one that does work, and make your skin smooth, and not all rough. Like st. ives, or other good brands, it also has to smell good, not eccentric smell like vanilla with aloe vera. For this next product, I have always used the same brand, and never changed it; for shaving cream I always use Gillette, mainly because it has a great scent, and makes the shaving experience much smoother, and your skin less irritating, the ones that had used before that like cheap ones for trips and such, they smell funny and don’t leave your skin the way the Gillette ones do  .

EOC Week 5: Sony Got Hacked

Last month sony and the playstation networked got hacked, and again about a week ago. Now, all of the users personal information was revealed and credit card numbers could have been too. That is why the playstation network has been down, and gamers all over the world are not able to play online. Sony should tell the public not to panic that everything is going to be fine and they are going to fix this problem as soon as possible, and that they will make sure that these types of incidents do not occur ever again. Doing this can help relax the users that have a playstation network account, and personal and credit card information has been revealed. Some others, more devoted sony playstation devoters, are not really worried about revealing their information, they are wondering how much longer they will have to wait so that the playstation network is running up again, because they miss playing online. From a Marketing perspective Sony should apologize for this tragic event, and should give their playstation network users a free game download of their choice, or a playstation gift card y 20 dlls. Sony has to maintain their customers happy so they do not role of to the competition like Xbox live.

EOC Week 4: There Is An App For That

It would be really cool if there would be an application that would let you see your others peer camera like for example on their iphones, or even their computers. There are probably ways to do that, but it should be developed so it would be easier. It may also seem kind of creepy, but that is the way some people are.

Mobile banking is an application that really is useful, and it is not exactly used for entertainment, but sometimes it is important to look at your account balance, make transactions, transfer funds, etc. Not everyone in the world knows about this downloadable application that facilitates the banking experience, there is no need to go to the bank if you need to make a deposit, not even a computer, just with a mobile device is enough. There old fashion people out there, that could use a smart phone with these kinds of banking apps; the apps vary from one bank to another.

A very good application idea is an alcohol breath meter on your phone. I am not really aware if there is one out there, but it should be spreading so that everyone has it on their mobile devices, especially people who tend to rock n roll all night and party every day, and tend to get drunk more times than usual. By using this app they will now be aware that they are not in the right state to drive, and should probably let someone else, or call a taxi. Or maybe even if you just had one drink it would be relaxing to know if you are on the 0.08 range to drive.

EOC Week 3: My Demographics

I belong in the millennials generation (1977-2000). I was born in the year 1992 . According to this generation we are fascinated by technology, and it is also a way of life. We were the first generation to have computers, mobile devices, video games and much more. This does apply to myself, I really cannon think what the world would be like without all of these devices; they just make life a whole lot easier, and entertaining. Although sometimes I do think about not have all of this technology and try to live like my parents, and grandparents did. It all seemed much more simple back then, yes, we would be limited to what we can do compared to now; we would not have computers or the internet. This would mean that we would actually have to get a book to do research for a project. In my personal opinion I think that the more technology grows, the more lazy a person gets. Maybe in the future something happens like in the movies where machines take over the world, and the human race is vanishing away. I am fortunate that maybe I would not be living by the time that this happens.

EOC Week 3: Making Money For Good

Panda Express fast food restraunts donated money, food, and servie to non-profit organizations, and schools.

The Chicago Cubs donates moeny to local schools, and tickets to people who cannot afford to pay for a ticket to atend to a game.

Build a Bear donated 180,000$ to St. Judes Hospital, and teddy bears to sick children.

The NBA Cares program is about education, youth and family development, and health and wellness. The NBA, its teams, and players support a range of programs, partners and initiatives that strive to positively impact children and families worldwide.  Since October 2005 when NBA Cares was launched, the league, players and teams have raised more than $145 million for charity, provided more than 1.4 million hours of hands-on service, and built more than 525 places where kids and families can live, learn or play in communities around the world.

Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group

The video game industry has taken a downfall, in the last couple of years; maybe it’s because new games cost about $60-$70, and the country is currently in a hard recession. According to NPD Group, “Video game sales fell for 2010 but are expected to bounce back this year as people embrace new ways of playing games online and on-the-go” (http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/01/14/). The NPD Group did their calculations correct, The Los Angeles times state in one of their articles that The video game industry received a rare lift in February, with sales rising 3% in the U.S. as consumers dug deeper into their pockets to buy motion controllers and consoles from Microsoft Corp. and Sony Corp” (http://articles.latimes.com). I think that video game consoles like the Xbox 360 Kinnect, and the Sony Playstation 3 Move can be considered a cash cow, and a question mark in Boston Consulting Group chart; according to news.cnet,For the month, total revenue from gaming consoles, hardware, and software slipped 5 percent to $823.5 million, compared with $865.7 million a year ago; video game hardware took the hardest hit, dropping 20 percent to $241.5 million from $303 million a year ago” (http://news.cnet.com/8301-10797_3-20009524-235.html). This may be due to the fact that most people now a days do not have time to sit down and finich an entire game, and these persons are using more game applications on their mobile devices.

EOC Week 1 Good Customer Service

One night I decided to go to McDonalds for a number ten on the menu. That consists in ten chicken nuggets, fries and a drink. So I went to the register, and ordered my meal quickly to go, and stepped aside so more customers can order too. I was starting to get a bit frustrated because they were taking longer than usual. Then I realize that some of the people that had ordered after me were already getting their food, so I went up and ask the guy what was going on with my order, and he realized that the order was ready to go but they never placed the bag in the counter so I could leave. The guy went for another six piece chicken nuggets and placed the inside the bag apologizing for the delay.  That just made me enjoy my food even more, did no even ask for something else for waiting extra time. According to the book “Marketing an Introduction” Selling and advertising are only part of a larger “marketing mix”, a set of marketing tools that work together to satisfy customer needs and build customer relationships. (Gary Armstrong 4). This is true. There is much competition to McDonalds, so if they were to keep a customer unhappy, he probably go to another fast food restaurant, and they would be losing a lot clientele.
